Select the text you want to keep on the same line. Choose No Break from the Character panel menu or the Control panel menu. AND/OR. Create a nonbreaking space. Using the Type tool , click where you want to insert the space. Choose Type > Insert White Space> Nonbreaking Space (or any other white space character).. Find any uppercase, followed by a full stop and a space: (\u\.)\s. And replace with the same letter and full stop, followed by a non-breaking space: $1~S. The next two are non-breaking spaces. They both keep two words together on a line, so for better word spacing, I’d advise you to use the newer, proportional non-breaking space for normal paragraphs: Nonbreaking space. The same proportionable width as pressing the spacebar, but keeps two words together on the same line.. Keep proper names (people, organizations, etc.) from splitting onto two lines in your document. Instead of regular spaces and hyphens, use non-breaking space.
